Choa Chu Kang Region

Featuring a variety of public and private housing options, the West Region is currently home to more than one million residents. The main residential towns of Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang, Clementi, Jurong East and Jurong West are well served by recreation spaces, schools, healthcare facilities, parks and shops.

Residents in Choa Chu Kang Region will be pleased to know there are major infrastructure improvements and redevelopment.

Among the initiatives are new transport networks (Downtown Line 2 and Jurong Regional Line), and recreation & leisure options (New Community Club and Nature Parks).

Downtown Line 2

While the region is already connected to other parts of Singapore via extensive road and rail networks, residents can look forward to yet more transport options.

Downtown-Line-2 (Choa Chu Kang)

The completion of the Downtown Line 2 (DTL2) in mid-2016 will improve access for residents in the Choa Chu Kang, Bukit Panjang, Dairy Farm and Hillview areas, leading to shorter journeys to the city centre.

Jurong Regional Line

The Jurong Region Line (JRL), which is being planned will, connect areas such as Jurong West, Jurong Industrial Estate, West Coast, Choa Chu Kang, Tengah and the main activity hubs at Boon Lay and Jurong Gateway.

Jurong Regional Line

Expected to begin revenue service in 2025, the Jurong Regional line will complement the existing East West Line and North South Line.

Providing more Green Areas

Although the West Region is more often associated with industry, it has its fair share of green spaces and recreational facilities. These include Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, Bukit Batok Nature Park, Bukit Batok Town Park, Zhenghua Park and Jurong Central Park. New green spaces will rejuvenate and enliven the region in the coming years.

Choa Chu Kang Park

New parks at Keat Hong Link and Keat Hong Close, a new interim park at Toh Guan Road and the recently expanded Choa Chu Kang Park will ensure that residents have easy access to green spaces and recreational choices.

Keat Hong Community Club

Community Club at Keat Hong

Residents in the West Region will continue to enjoy a high quality living environment. Existing amenities will continue to be upgraded, while new facilities and services will be introduced with housing developments. Over the next few years, Hillvew and Keat Hong estates will welcome new community clubs featuring a wide range of lifestyle programmes and activities.
